FROM THE HEAD of school

Dear Families,

Mike Hanley, Head of School

Mike Hanley, Head of School

Frederick Douglass said, “It is easier to build strong children than it is to repair broken men.” This is just as true today. Over the course of a single decade, Wy’East Academy has produced international business moguls, lawyers, engineers, and Olympic medalists from seven different nations around the world. Wy’East Academy helps students acclimatize to the rigors of adulthood by challenging students to surpass expectations and limitations. We believe that any goal is achievable as long as it is specific, measurable, achievable, realistic & timely.

Cicero noticed that “Glory follows virtue as if it were its shadow” and we have noticed the same pattern in the world of action sports. Wy’East Academy provides unparalleled opportunities to help foster the leaders of tomorrow regardless of which path they decide to pursue. After traveling around the globe on the World Cup Tour for the past decade, I look forward to the opportunity to work together with the amazing staff and students here in Mount Hood, Oregon. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you might have.

Sincerely,

Mike Hanley,

Head of School
