Resident Advisor/Assistant Snowboard Coach
Sarah was born and raised in Minnetonka Minnesota and knew at the young age of 8 that snowboarding would be a great passion of hers. She started entering competitions at the age of 12 at her home “mountain” and surrounding ski and snowboard areas. Sarah loved competing and strived to do better in the sport for herself, but she soon became interested in the coaching aspect of snowboarding. Sarah applied to be a coach at her home mountain, Hyland Hills, for the team that taught her everything she knew. After coaching the local competitive team at Hyland Hills for 2 years, Sarah was offered a job with the G team. The G team is a competition developmental team that competes in USASA and USSA competitions as well as the Rev Tour, Dew Tour, Grand Prix and beyond. Over the past 10 years the G team has grown to be one of the largest teams in the nation, consisting of over 350 members. With 10 years of snowboarding and 3 years of coaching under her belt, Sarah discovered Windells Camp while coaching the USASA nationals in 2008. After meeting Tim Windell and discussing a coaching position, she knew Windells was soon to be home. Sarah first came to Windells as a coach in the summer of 2008. She went back to Minnesota in August to continue coaching for the G team in the Winter season of 2008. In april of 2009, Sarah both coached and competed at the 2009 USASA nationals held at Copper Mt. and went on toe become G team “coach of the year”. Sarah took the next 4 months off to get back to her previous job touring with the Music industry. After completing the 2009 Warped Tour, Sarah was offered her job as Residential Advisor and Assistant Snowboard Coach for Windells Academy. She now works and lives at Windells full time and loves every minute of it!
